Great Britain left the EU Friday night, after 3 and half years of a heavy negotiation, it is a new page in its history.

After the brexit was postponed 3 time, the Implementation was confirmed at 23:00 London time.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Friday in a speech addressed to the nation an hour before his country formally left the European Union, that Brexit "is not the end but the beginning of a new chapter in our great national career."

"The most important thing tonight is to say that it is not the end but the beginning, it is the moment of dawn and the start of a new chapter in our great national march," he said.

"Whatever obstacles are on the way, I know we will succeed," Johnson added, stressing that Brexit will be "a resounding success", as his country prepares to start tough negotiations with the European Union on their future trade relationship.

"We want this to be the beginning of a new era of friendly cooperation between the European Union and the energy-rich Britain."

At 23:00 London time, midnight in Brussels, the European Union for the first time loses one of its members.
