Chinese officials revealed Saturday that a 'severe' strain of the H5N1 bird flu virus has been reported in Hunan, China.
And according to Sky News Arabia quoted the "Business Insider" site, the severe strain of "H5N1" appeared on a farm, located in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province.
He continued: 'Of the 7,850 chickens present on the farm, 4,500 died from H5N1 bird flu.'
The Chinese government said it had “culled” 178,28 chickens as a result of the outbreak.
The bird flu virus appeared in 2003, and caused about 400 deaths, after it spread to Asia, Africa, North America, and parts of Europe.
Most people who have symptoms of this virus have contact with sick birds.
This development comes at a time when China is witnessing a great tragedy due to the Coruna virus, which, up to now, has claimed the lives of 259 people.
And official Chinese data indicated that the number of confirmed cases with corona rose to 11,791 cases. "
